Day 7: Szentgyörgyvölgy to Lenti

22 Kilometers!?

Dawn departure again. Walk was fairly pleasant until….some confusion between the cue sheets and the arrows. Too hard to explain but suffice to say the organizers of the EPW have some fixing to do. We took a crazy overgrown route through the woods (I won’t call it a path). We eventually emerged and a short time later had to traverse a dirt road that was SO overgrown you wouldn’t believe that anyone would try to go down but this was a marked “path”.Just wonder how many walkers have actually come this way as we whacked three pathways today and the weeds were shoulder height.  Ed did most of this work as I and the two other ladies followed. We had a nice coffee break at just over half way and then on to Lenti to relax in a very nice hotel.  With air conditioning, Something we haven’t had for days with the temperatures near 100 degrees. I (Joan) went to the thermal baths with Maxine while Ed rested.  We ate  a very nice dinner and now off to bed early as our walk is longer and hotter tomorrow.
