Day 16: Bistra to Postojna

30+ Kilometers (Who knows?)

Cooler weather has come so we slept in until 5:30 and we were away by 6, even though it was a longer day. Our small group of now three set out passing through a small village and tramped through on logging roads before our first coffee break in Laze (one of several towns of the same name). The morning coolness was nice as we rested a bit before we walked through a lush river valley and another village.  As noon approached, our cue sheet said we would spend the rest of our walk (about eight kilometers) on a road.   It was a winding road through a pass and down to our resting place. It would have been quite nice except all the motorcycles (bullet bikes) were zooming around the curves being quite loud and with little shoulder the cars passsing made it ???.   But we made it and after our chores and a rest we went out for a quick dinner and picked up some pastries for breakfast.  Btw: we are staying in a Hostel. As we were leaving for dinner, a family of three was checking in and we hear, “Can we get a room with a good view?” ….Seriously?? Haha!
